Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, applications, events, memberships, and services (“Services”) provided by BLIB (“BLIB,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.
These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, and any other policies referenced herein, form a legally binding agreement between you and BLIB.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
1. Eligibility and Account Responsibilities
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old to access or use our Services.
1.2 If you are using our Services on behalf of a company or another entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
1.3 You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to us (e.g. at sign-up, membership, or event booking) is accurate, current, and complete.
1.4 If you create an account with us (online or otherwise), you are responsible for maintaining its confidentiality and for any activities under your account.
2. Privacy and Data Protection
2.1 Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and process your personal data. By using our Services, you acknowledge and consent to the collection and use of your data in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2.2 You are responsible for ensuring that any personal data you provide is accurate and up to date.
2.3 We may process personal data outside the UK. Where we do so, we will ensure adequate safeguards are in place.
2.4 As part of BLIB membership, you consent to your details being shared in event attendee lists, connection trackers, and membership directories.
3. Acceptable Use of Services
3.1 Permitted Use: You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct: You must not:
- Engage in illegal, fraudulent, or deceptive activities.
- Harass, discriminate, or act in a way that is offensive to others.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt our Services.
- Upload or distribute harmful software (e.g. viruses, malware).
- Use our Services for spam or unsolicited communication.
- Copy, modify, or exploit BLIB materials without permission.
3.3 We reserve the right to monitor your use of Services and suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably suspect a breach of these Terms or behaviour inconsistent with BLIB’s values of collaboration, support, and non-judgement.
4. Membership, Payments, and Cancellations
4.1 Membership is open to female business owners and professionals who wish to grow their business through connection, learning, and community.
4.2 Payment:
- Rolling monthly membership: Payments are processed monthly and can be cancelled anytime. Membership continues until the end of the paid month.
- Annual membership: Payment is made upfront for 12 months. Members receive a discount equivalent to two months free. Annual memberships are non-refundable.
4.3 Subscription Renewals: Membership renews automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
4.4 Refunds: Payments are non-refundable unless required by law or covered under our Cancellation Policy.
4.5 Failed payments may result in suspension of membership benefits until resolved.
5. Events and Services
5.1 Event Access: Members may access monthly meetups, 90:90 sessions, Connect & Unwind socials, masterclasses, and other events as outlined in the membership benefits. Some events may be open to non-members.
5.2 Booking: Some events require pre-booking. Members are responsible for securing their place.
5.3 Cancellations by BLIB: We may cancel, postpone, or change events. Where possible, we will offer an alternative date or credit.
5.4 Cancellations by You: If you are unable to attend a booked event, please cancel as early as possible. Refunds or credits are not guaranteed.
5.5 Behaviour: BLIB events are intended to be supportive, inclusive, and non-judgemental. We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove participants whose behaviour is disruptive or inconsistent with our values.
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 All content, materials, and intellectual property related to our Services (“Intellectual Property”) are owned by or licensed to BLIB.
6.2 You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our content beyond your membership rights without our prior written consent.
7. Third-Party Services
7.1 Our Services may include links to third-party websites or services. These are provided for convenience only.
7.2 BLIB does not endorse, control, or accept liability for third-party services. Your use of third-party content is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
8.1 To the extent permitted by law, BLIB shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, consequential, or special damages.
- Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities.
8.2 Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
8.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Termination and Suspension
9.1 We may suspend or terminate your membership if you:
- Breach these Terms,
- Fail to make payment, or
- Act in a way inconsistent with BLIB’s values or code of conduct.
9.2 If terminated for cause, no refunds will be issued.
10. Changes to These Terms
10.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates take effect immediately upon posting on our website.
10.2 Continued use of our Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
